Ben Niven is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer with more than 10 years of design experience in Christchurch. He has worked on a variety of projects including supermarkets, multi-use community facilities, architectural homes, and earthquake strengthening of commercial buildings. Ben also has experience in civil construction and project management, working on large infrastructure projects in Australia.

When Ben is away from his computer he can be found either snowboarding at Mt. Hutt or mountain biking on the Port Hills. He is also a passionate photographer and has taken many great photos all over New Zealand and South America.
Daniel is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer with over a decade of of structural design under his belt, as well as several years of commercial and residential project management experience. He likes to provide efficient and effective design solutions, bringing clients’ visions alive. Daniel’s experience in project management has made him aware of the importance of collaborating with other designers and stakeholders. He is passionate about building efficiencies into designs, delivering quality projects, and managing the customers’ expectations in relation to project timeline and quality.
Daniel has also undertaken hundreds of earthquake damage inspections throughout Christchurch and Canterbury. This means Daniel has the necessary experience to undertake independent and objective assessments of earthquake damaged buildings in Christchurch and around New Zealand. Daniel has been an Expert Witness for many High Court and Canterbury Earthquake Insurance Tribunal hearings.

In his spare time Daniel can be found Mountain Biking in the Port Hills, on his dirt bike up the Waimakariri River, or tramping in the backcountry.
Ben Haines is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer with more than 13 years of design experience in Christchurch and Canterbury region. He has worked on a variety of projects including large warehouse buildings, school and community facilities, and a significant amount of design on a large hospital building in Christchurch. Ben has also worked with some of the larger architectural firms in Christchurch to develop structural solutions that push both architectural and structural boundaries.
Following the Canterbury earthquake sequence, Ben was engaged to assess multiple school buildings and has assessed over 400 damaged houses around the Christchurch and Canterbury region. He has provided Detailed Seismic Assessments (DSA) and strengthening schemes for multiple commercial and industrial buildings. One of Ben's key strengths is to ensure project milestones are kept, and he communicates well with stakeholders regarding timeframes.

When Ben is out of the office he can be found either tramping or camping throughout the South Island, mountain biking through the Port Hills or catching up with motorsport.
