Ben Niven

Director. Structural Engineer.




Ben Niven is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer (CPEng) with more than 17 years of experience. He has worked on a variety of projects including the earthquake recovery, architectural homes, industrial buildings, supermarkets and multi-use community facilities.

Ben also has experience in civil construction and project management, working on large infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand.

Daniel Langford

Director. Structural Engineer.




Daniel is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer (CPEng) with over a decade of of structural design under his belt, as well as several years of commercial and residential project management experience. He is passionate about building efficiencies into designs, delivering quality projects, and managing the customers' expectations in relation to project timeline and quality.

Daniel has also undertaken hundreds of earthquake damage inspections throughout Christchurch and Canterbury and has been an Expert Witness for many High Court and Canterbury Earthquake Insurance Tribunal hearings.

Ben Haines

Director. Structural Engineer.




Ben Haines is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer (CPEng) with more than 17 years of design experience in the Canterbury region. He has worked on a variety of projects, including warehouses, schools, community buildings and hospital facilities. More recently, he has enjoyed working with architects and clients to deliver homes that they are proud of.

Following the Canterbury earthquake sequence, Ben was engaged to assess multiple school buildings and has assessed hundreds of damaged houses and structures around the Christchurch and Canterbury region. He has provided Detailed Seismic Assessments (DSA) and strengthening schemes for multiple commercial and industrial buildings and has also worked as an expert witness to resolve earthquake and insurance claims.

Outside of the office, Ben's two children keep him busy. Along with his wife they enjoy exploring New Zealand and seeing the outdoors. For both fitness and sanity, Ben is often looking for an excuse to ride his mountain bike.

And at play



When Ben is away from work he can be found either spending quality time with his family or out riding or racing his bike across the great cycling trails in New Zealand.



In his spare time Daniel can be found Mountain Biking in the Port Hills, on his dirt bike up the Waimakariri River, or tramping in the backcountry.



When Ben is out of the office he can be found either tramping or camping throughout the South Island, mountain biking through the Port Hills or catching up with motorsport.
